From the creators of Dear Esther, The Chinese Rooms brings us Everybody's Gone To The Rapture. Set at the as the world ends, this game tells the story of a small English valley community and how they deal with grave adversity and world shattering events they can no more control than they can understand. Due out in Summer 2015, we are still waiting to hear a solid date - but for now, enjoy the new trailer! Coming to PS3 and PS4 this July 14th, Godzilla got a new gameplay trailer. Along with the release date being revealed a couple of days ago, a list of the monsters who will be making an appearance was also released. This list includes well known monsters such as King Ghidorah and Destroyah. Also, as an exclusive for PS4 players, there will also be Space Godzilla and the ability to fight with 3 monsters rather than the 2 on PS3. Rather than this game being based on the 2014 movie of Godzilla, this game is infact based 60 years following the 1954 "Godzilla, King of the Monsters". Below you can find the latest gameplay trailer for Godzilla, enjoy! :-) Journey was first released on PS3 in 2012 and is now coming back by popular demand to PS4 this Summer! It will be released as a cross-buy, so those who bought Journey on the PS3 will be able to download it for free from the PS Store. So far, the only information we're being given for the release is Summer. As soon as we know more, we shall post it right here on Simply Gaming so be sure to check back! Bungie have finally given us our first proper look into their next Destiny DLC, House of Wolves!
Due for release on May 19th, this DLC will include new multiplayer maps, a new multiplayer mode, new strikes, new stories, a new raid and will include the Reef social area. There will also be hundreds of new pieces of gear and weapons up for grabs, just like in The Dark Below. If you hop onto www.destinythegame.com you'll see at the bottom 6 symbols with dates on them. These dates are when we can expect to see more information. Various different "leaks" have been claiming different dates in the coming months that we'll be seeing the next DLC for Destiny, however only one was proven right when today Bungie announced the release date: MAY 19th 2015!!! That's little over a month to go until the new DLC for Destiny! A trailer will be released soon, hopefully showing off what we can expect from House Of Wolves.
We already know this DLC is going to be based around the Fallen, just like The Dark Below was based around the Hive. This has been basic public knowledge for a long time, although never really verified by Bungie. However, if you open your copy of Bungie you will find a flyer advertising the expansion pass - if you then look closer at the first, you can see it shows the face of a thrall while the second is the face of a fallen vandal. As soon as more information is available for this DLC, you can be sure to find it here so don't forget to check back! For those who don't know about Xur, he is a vendor who only appears Friday and Saturday each week. He sells exotics, as well as upgrade for exotics bought before The Dark Below's release and he also sells "curios" such as telemetries, vehicle upgrades and heavy ammo synthesis packs.
To pay for new exotic items and any of the curios, you will need strange coins. These are rewarded from weekly heroics, crucible matches, decrypting engrams and from the postmaster. For exotic engrams, it costs motes of light. For upgrades, you must have an old version of the weapon, glimmer and an exotic shards. As well as for these upgrades, exotic shards and required to fully upgrade the final exotic gear. Great news for Xbox 360 owners! You know you've been asking for more memory? Looks like it's coming our way!
Available first for Xbox Preview Program users, there will be an update which will add support for 2TB hard drives. It will also include support for 2 external hard drives at once. This update will become available Xbox Preview Program users soon, with general public receiving it later in the year. It's that time of year where everyone's getting geared up for EGX in September, the UK gaming expo that usually is held in Earl's Court in London on the last weekend of September. The four day event is the best place for gamers to try out the upcoming games for the year, months before release.
Unfortunately, Earl's Court is being torn down to make way for upmarket housing and a high street. This is a sad thing to happen, as Earls Court is a historic part of London. For more information on the campaign against the plans, please see SaveEarlsCourt who have been campaigning since the plans were announced - even making appearances outside the last 2 Eurogamer Expos. Due to this (and possibly also due to size requirements), the decision was made that Eurogamer 2015 would instead be held at Birmingham's NEC. This larger venue holds alot of promise, as more space could result in more games, less crowding and more admittance. EGX 2015 will be on the last weekend of September, as usual, and tickets have gone on sale at the end of February. Already at time of posting, early entry tickets have already sold out but it looks like there are still lots more tickets available for the 4 day event. No games have been announced yet, but they should follow soon. Alot of the games from this years E3 will undoubtedly be there as well as the yearly returners such as Call Of Duty, and maybe even Halo. Of course, nothing is official until it is announced on the EGX website in the "What's On" section. A section will be dedicated to the announcements and news for the event as of now, so please be sure to check it out. |
