Xbox One has been designed to give you everything you need in your living room, from a powerful gaming console to your all-in-one entertainment system as well, along with making transitions from gaming to other activities as easy as possible. Although the current date of release for Xbox One has not been revealed yet, aside from having said it will be released in 2013, what you get when you do buy it has.
So you'll have your Kinect, your controller, and then there is the console itself. Though it seems that Microsoft have opted for a very simple design, the Xbox One is a very well thought out piece of equipment. Wheras the Xbox and Xbox 360 were pretty much solely designed to be gaming systems, the Xbox One is designed to be in the living room to take over your TV. That means is has to be sleek, and look like it belongs, like it is prepared to be able to do everything you want it to do. And we at Simply Gaming agree that it does just that.
In regards to other people playing your games, your mate up the road will not be able to unless either he plays it on your account, or he pays to do so. This will affect stores such as CEX and Gamestop, all second handretailers and rental stores, but Microsoft will be making annoucements about arrangements later on. Unfortunately, your current games on XBox360 will not be able to be used either, making your current library of games fairly useless unless you keep your Xbox360.
Happily, your xbox live subscription and achievements will carry over from your current xbox, so you dont have to start again from scratch. However, any purchases you have made via Xbox Live Arcade (so Minecraft, N+, Battleblock Theater, Sonic 4 etc will not be able to transfer. The only thing that will transfer will be entertainment purchases.
