It's an annual event that happens generally on the last weekend on September every year where you can go and play some of the upcoming games due out in the following year. They also have things like stalls to buy games, t-shirts, statues and general gaming trinkets as well as a retro section with all the old games and consoles there.
Last year we got to play such titles as Tomb Raider, God of War: Ascension, Assassin's Creed 3, Hitman: Absolution, Gears of War: Judgement and Halo 4 as well as many other upcoming titles. There were also a few that were recent releases such as Borderlands 2 (which was for some reason the first thing we had a play of dispite having a copy at home already!).
Last year they also had the WiiU and PSVita to play there including WiiU's zombie title ZombieU available to play.
Of course, they do split up the Expo into two sections. The under 18s section is the first section you walk into, with the over 18s section the other side. For the over 18s section you WILL need photographic ID unless you look obviously over 18 (grandad wont need his ID).
The Eurogamer Expo runs over the four days of the weekend, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday with Saturday and Sunday being their busier days.
A great day out if your a gamer, and a fantastic chance to have a look at upcoming games before their release dates. Tickets are £60 for a full weekend ticket (all four days), £20 for early entry (10am - 7pm), £15 for a day ticket (11am - 7pm) and £10 for afternoon entry (3pm - 7pm).
Worth every penny, this is a fantastic gamers day and the local underground station is right across the street! This is not an event for those unwilling to queue, as there are lots of people wanting to play the games. As you can guess, queues for games on the Thursday and Friday are less than they are on the Saturday and Sunday!
